Advanced Minimal Access Paediatric Urology Training Course

Laparoscopic and endoscopic paediatric urology has become an integral part of Paediatric Surgery and Paediatric urology. Many paediatric surgeons and urologists have acquired basic skills to perform laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries. However, very few are proficient in performing advanced laparoscopic paediatric urologic and endo-urologic surgeries. This three-day course is planned to make the delegates confident and proficient in performing advanced paediatric laparoscopic and endo-urologic surgeries.
The technology in paediatric endo-urological and laparoscopic surgery has advanced rapidly over the last decade; the course will also have dedicated sessions to familiarise delegated with the latest equipment and technology.
Knot tying and suturing in laparoscopic surgery has been the “Achilles’ Heel” of novices and sometimes even of an “advanced” laparoscopic surgeon. The course will have dedicated sessions to make the delegates confident of intra and extra-corporeal suturing as well as knot tying.
The wet lab will give an opportunity to have hands on experience, which will further boost the confidence of delegates.
